Highland Specialty Grains has done research and breeding in some other crops including ancient grains such as heirloom varieties of wheat and ancestors of wheat such as spelt and emmer. Breeding research has also been done with quinoa resulting in the development of several early maturing, short to medium height varieties of golden quinoa.
